Bluetooth allows devices to send data to each other without wires. An example of a Bluetooth device that may transfer data to your hearing aid is a smartphone. Examples of data that could be transferred from the smartphone to the hearing aid are phone calls, music and podcasts. This allows you to hear sounds directly into the hearing aid. Bluetooth compatibility also may allow the smartphone to be used as a remote control to make changes to the hearing aid.

It may be difficult to replace the battery in the hearing aid if you do not see well or have difficulty with hand movement.

T Telecoil (T-coil)

A telecoil (t-coil) is a feature of the hearing aid that allows the hearing aid to pick up a sound that is produced in a room that is set up to be telephone compatible. These rooms are identified by a sign that the room is telecoil compatible. You may find these listening systems in places of worship or theaters. This may help you hear the sound of interest better in a larger room.
